Dr. Potts speaks about U of A Dementia Conference

Cognitive Dynamics President and Founder Daniel C. Potts, M.D., a member of the planning committee for the University of Alabama’s 2011 Dementia Conference, is seen in the video above touting the conference and its benefits to those who work with or provide care for Alzheimer’s and dementia patients.  Potts will be a keynote speaker and facilitator at the conference.  According to Geri Stone, Associate Director, Professional Development & Conference Services at the University and Conference organizer, the conference started being offered again last year after a hiatus largely due to the story of Dr. Potts, his father’s art, and his advocacy for dementia patients and caregivers.  “Dr. Potts and his story and work were the inspiration”, Stone said.

The conference will take place on August 23 and 24th at the Bryant Conference Center on the campus of the University of Alabama.  Access the conference website at http://training.ua.edu/alzheimers

The conference in entitled “Successful Aging Across the Lifespan”.
